what is freeware and shareware. i downloaded a freeware software and after some days it asked for a code.?

and to get the code i need to buy the software. it said it was a freeware. does it cost to download a freeware software. how can i overcome this problem.

After a while they ask for to register to continue with the software which requires the user to pay some money.
