Is there any freeware software that will allow me to monitor my CPU and RAM resource usage?
I currently am using the Network Manager to observe network utilization, but am finding myself in need of knowing the current resource usage of my CPU and RAM. While staring at the task manager works, I'm curious as to whether or not there is something that will log the usage to the system resources.

- Yahoo makes a neat utility called Yahoo Widgets that lets you put things like that on your desktop. There is also a good free one called SysMetrix http://www.xymantix.com/sysmetrix/ That is 'skinnable', lets you change the look and feel of it. Both are freeware.
- I use a widget to do this. It is a little application that sits on the desktop and shows me just the CPU and RAM utilization. See the link below. You also have the task manager, CTL-ALT-DEL and then click Task Manager and select the performance tab.
