Freeware Software Download

Can anyone recommend some good freeware software companies?

I like to play computer games, but my wallet doesn't like it quite so much. So, I'm looking for some freeware games. Does anyone know of any good freeware companies? General freeware sites would also be accepted.

2. If you like mmorpg's just google "free mmorpg". There are multiple listings for free ones, a lot of them in beta testing.
