Freeware Software Download

Is there any freeware software that will help me make a school yearbook for elementary school aged children?

I work in an inner city. We have no funds to buy anything except for some of the the printing/binding costs. Last year I used Word and it was such a pain. We have access to Kid Pix but i have never used it and don't know if it does that kind of work. If it was cheap shareware, i would buy it but i don't want too spend much money becuase much of this cost comes out of my pocket. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2. If you have Word, you probably have Publish. That is much more precise and elegant. Frankly, freeware will not be as good as Word. Which Word are you using? There are templates that you can use and I like the way you can format pictures etc. Hope this helps!
