What is the best free photo editing software?

I would love to use photoshop but cant afford it. Is there a free software download that offers some of the same features?

  5. There are a lot of free photo editing software programs out there that you can use to get good features. But the most popular free program that a lot of people use because it is really great and gives a lot of features like photoshop is GIMP. GIMP is the most Widespread and what you should definitely opt for when going for a free program. You can create high quality projects just using this free program. It is almost like photoshop so you get almost the same feel, and everybody knows photoshop is the best editing software but you have to pay. If you need/want more features downloading GIMP is a great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. There are also free tools to add text blurbs, to make collages, to put your photo into other images. There are a number of tools that allow you to put the image of a face into other photos for some fun creations.
