Is it better to use free software or pirated proprietary software?
I get my proprietary software from bit torrent networks. Was wondering though if I should switch to using free software. This may be better as than I wouldn't have to worry about legal issues or possible virus problems. However, those risks may be worth it, if free software is less functional.

- Well, obviously, if you want a better program, proprietary software is better than freeware. There are still many freeware programs that work fine, especially considering that you don't have to pay for them. Pirating is dangerous.
- You have to define better. Some freeware, open source, and GNU software titles are much better than commercial product. It will depend on exactly what it is you're trying to do. For example, most people that use it for any decent period of time much favor the free Open Office over Microsoft Office. They both have their ups and downs. Using "cracked" software is very illegal. In a corporate environment the BSA takes it very seriously and there's potential for fines.
- pirated is best id say just get an ip hider for downloading the torrents and a wireless router and jobs a good un its practically impossible to get caught touch wood plus billions do it they cant stop all of u can they lets be honest
